Canadian bride shares a touching image of her breastfeeding during ceremony
Lucky for Torino-Benton, her wedding dress was strapless. Before the ceremony, Torino-Benton tells SELF Gemma had a quick feeding while she was getting ready for the big day.

Torino-Bento, who follows attachment parenting principles, exclusively breastfeeds her 9-month-old daughter, Gemma.
“That moment when you’re getting married and your baby gets hungry.feeling SO proud of myself!” While she didn’t intentionally choose a style that allowed for easy breastfeeding, she says “it just happened to work out for us in the end!”
You then become the awesome bride whose breastfeeding wedding pictures have taken over the internet, becoming a positive champion for widely shamed breastfeeding mothers everywhere.
“It’s happening”, she told fiancé Danny Benton, according to the Huffington Post. “I had to nurse, and I wasn’t hesitant about it at all”.
A Canadian mother sat down mid-way through her wedding to breastfeed when her nine-month-old baby girl started crying during the ceremony.
What Christina didn’t know was that Lana had taken the heartwarming snap of her feeding Gemma – but she absolutely loved the resulting image.
She added: “I thought I would get a couple hundred likes on the breastfeeding group – I never imagined for a second it would go totally viral! [Gemma] fell asleep probably within five or 10 minutes, and I passed her back to my father-in law and she slept through the remainder of the ceremony”. It sparked a thread of similar comments and attractive pictures from other mothers breastfeeding on their wedding days. I was very nervous and shy at first. “Fighting that good fight”. I think sharing photos like this is important. “I needed that small push to keep at this”.

The perfectly captured moment has since gone viral, with Christina receiving lots of praise online.
