Shots Fired At 15th & Wynkoop, Victims Rushed To Hospital
Denver police are responding after they say shots were fired in the city’s LoDo, or lower downtown, neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene with an apparent “self-inflicted” gunshot wound, while a female victim as transported to hospital. They tweeted a short time later that victims were being taken to a hospital, but it’s not clear how many people were hurt.
5280 Magazine’s offices are located directly behind the building, and witnesses saw men and women fleeing the building with their hands raised as Denver Police dressed in SWAT gear swarmed the property.
Schepman said based on their preliminary investigation, this was not a random shooting.
The first 911 call reported a male with a gun; details about the alleged shooter are not yet known.
Police are clearing buildings in the 1500 block of Wynkoop Street. Around 3:40 p.m., they tweeted that the scene was secure.

All shuttles and bus service, including the Mall Shuttle along the 16th Street Mall were suspended in the area.
