Look who got married! Pictures of Declan Donnelly and Ali Astall’s star

They have been best friends for over thirty years, so it comes as no surprise that Ant McPartlin was by Declan Donnelly’s side as he married Ali Astall in front of a celeb-packed church in Newcastle today.

Best man Ant drove his childhood friend to the church in an Aston Martin Vanquish Carbon, revving loudly as he pulled up.

Shortly after their arrival, Ali was escorted into the church in a sleeveless, ivory gown featuring a full skirt and short train for the service which lasted approximately 45 minutes. Get Me Out Of Here! for the latest series.

The Geordie wedding saw long-time friend and co-host Ant McPartlin take up his role as best man – with the pair wearing matching blue suits.

Dec’s brother Father Dermott, the Dean of St Mary’s Cathedral, lead the ceremony. “I know I’ve got somewhere to be today but I can’t for the life of me remember where…D”.

A host of famous faces from British broadcasting are set to attend the wedding including Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, Fearne Cotton, Tess Daly and Vernon Kay, Paddy McGuinness and Leigh Francis.

Ant’s make-up artist wife Lisa Armstrong is also helping out, doing Ali’s make-up as well as her bridesmaids.

Donnelly’s suit was made by London tailor Tom Baker.

Earlier this year the TV presenter, who began dating 36-year-old Ali in 2012, said: “There is always someone you are going to miss and for me it’s my dad”.

And December can not wait either, saying previously: “I’d love to fast-forward to that day”.
