Prior to the game, Detroit placed Jordan Zimmermann on the disabled list due to a strained neck, and during the game, the Tigers lost starter Daniel Norris, who could be headed to the disabled list. Lindor scored on the play.

Norris has been plagued with injuries since coming to the Tigers a year ago in a trade with Toronto.

With the win, Cleveland is 10-0 vs. Detroit this season. He squares off against Carlos Carrasco, who is 4-2 with a 2.56 ERA this season.

With Francisco Lindor on first after a walk, Napoli crushed a Bruce Rondon offering 430 feet two-thirds of the way up the bleacher seats in left field to break the deadlock and put the Indians up 5-3.

He returned for the third inning, walked Rajai Davis, and was pulled. “We like to get to him and let him take three good swings”.

NOTES: The start of the game was delayed 2 hours and 21 minutes by rain.

He allowed just one run in six innings of work that day while walking two batters and striking out eight.

The Indians will take on the Detroit Tigers again Tuesday night at 7:10 p.m. While fans continue to let their voices be heard about Brad Ausmus’s job security, the bullpen and starting rotation underperforming expectations, and the inconsistent hitting, that’s not the Tigers downfall this season.
