The BMW vehicle has hit an auto rickshaw and has killed three persons and then rammed into a PCR van in which four of the Policemen were injured.

Reports quoted police sources as saying Siddharth Mehariya, son of an independent legislator, appeared to have been drunk at the time of the accident “We will send his blood sample to the forensic lab to verify”, a police officer said.
The incident took place at around 1.50 am when Siddharth and his cousin Jayant were going to their house in Jalupura in a BMW 520D sedan.
“When auto-rickshaw came near St. Xavier area, at the same time a BMW came from the other side and rammed into the auto rickshaw.it was in high speed, which resulted in three casualties and one person was injured”, he said. Two of them ran secretly and the rest two were under arrest – Siddharth and his relative Jayant.
Ashok Nagar police station SHO Bala Ram said, “A BMW auto allegedly belonging to independent MLA from Fatehpur constituency in Sikar, NandKishore Maharia rammed a three-wheeler, killing three people”.
Four police officers were also injured in the accident.
“We have been calling the police since morning but they have still not arrived”, he added.
The DCP said that the injured Assistant Sub Inspector of Rajasthan police got injury in the head and he is under treatment.
“Prima facie it appears that Siddharth was driving the vehicle although more can be said after further investigation”.
Meanwhile the police officials had arrested Sidharth in case of death causing due to negligence and rash driving. “An FIR has been lodged in this regard and after we receive the medical reports, the relevant sections of the IPC to apply will be decided”.
Police told that Siddharth hit an autorickshaw first and then a PCR.

Siddharth and Jayant have been frequently changing their statements, said Goyal, adding that the MLA’s son has denied driving under the influence of alcohol.
