Standing at a podium bearing the presidential seal, Obama echoed his 2008 campaign rhetoric as well as used Clinton’s 2016 catchphrase as he concluded his speech. “And he also knows that despite all the progress we’ve made under his leadership – and yes, we have – we still have a lot of work to do”.
Republican rival Donald Trump, who reacted to the FBI’s announcement by reiterating that the system is “rigged”, earlier raised questions about Clinton’s use of Air Force One for campaign travel, and who will pay for it.
“It’s her best weapon in this campaign”.
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are both returning to the Tar Heel state to drum up support at campaign rallies. And she touted Obama’s foreign policy achievements with Iran, Cuba and China. “A bunch of baloney doesn’t keep us safe”.
Donald Trump is slated to speak at 7 p.m.in Memorial Auditorium at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh. “He’s got to figure out a way to extend beyond that base and I don’t think bashing Hillary is going to do that”. “Anybody can Tweet, but nobody actually knows what it takes to do the job until you’ve actually sat behind the desk”, said the president.
“As is the standard practice, the campaign will cover its portion of the costs”, Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said.
“She’s the energizer bunny”.
Clinton served as Secretary of State from 2009-13, after losing the 2008 Democratic nomination to Obama in a bruising intra-party battle. John McCain during a news conference in Ethiopia.
“There has been no man or women more qualified to be president than Hillary”, said Obama. You can’t just kick out reporters. “She offers a smarter approach that uses every element of America power to protect our allies”. Even with the federal probe wrapping up, Republicans continue to seize on the email controversy as Clinton seeks to shed the perception that she is untrustworthy and dishonest.
The exact breakdown of how much the campaign will owe, however, isn’t precisely known.
He added several minutes later: “I’ve run my last campaign, and I couldn’t be prouder of the things we’ve done together”.
