“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” hails from Bonanza Productions, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros.
Hawkman – the masked and winged golden-age hero with superhuman strength, sight and speed who wields a magical mace – will be joining up with the CW’s version of the DC universe with “Transcendence” star Falk Hentschel cast as the gruff, no-nonsense warrior.
Hentschel most recently starred in CBS’ shortlived legal drama Reckless and appeared on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Falk’s other feature credits include White House Down, Knight And Day, and StreetDance 2.
Following yesterday’s Hawkman casting announcement, DC Entertainment and The CW have announced another new addition to the upcoming “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow“, with Danish actor Casper Crump (Tarzan) set to play the immortal villain Vandal Savage. His character was teased in the first Legends of Tomorrow trailer, which declared Savage “commands the most powerful army the world has ever seen”.

Hentschel’s Hawkman can be added to a crowded bunch of heroes on “Legends of Tomorrow“. He then taps into the powers of the Hawk God just like his fellow reincarnated soulmate Kendra Saunders. The spinoff will also feature Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh), Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), Mick Rory/Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) and Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).
