Temperatures are a few degrees above normal for this time of the month, but aren’t close to hitting any records, said Juan Hernandez, National Weather Service meteorologist. A south southwest wind of 8 to 11 miles per hour is possible. “It’s going to be hot and humid”.

The rest of the week is much of the same: Highs near 90 degrees and chances of thunderstorms.

Highs on Friday will be 87 to 92 and then fall back down into the 80s, the weather service reports. West northwest winds could reach speeds up to 16 miles per hour.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, becoming hot. Winds will blow 15 to 20 miles per hour, and gust as high as 25 miles per hour, Hernandez said. Today Gaylord had partly sunny skies, a high of 83 degrees and a low of 63. Heat index values will continue to stay above 100.
