Mozgov came to an unexpected and quick four-year, $64 million agreement with the Los Angeles Lakers according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski less than an hour into free agency.
Dallas are expected to offer Whiteside a four-year max contract worth $98.8 million. In 2014, he signed with the Heat. This is one to keep an eye on.
Whiteside said this week he was hopeful of a quick resolution, possibly on Friday’s first day of free agency. Teams have more cap room than ever, meaning this could be one of the more highly anticipated periods in league history. What he did this past season left such an impression on Heat President Pat Riley that the nine-time National Basketball Association champion went into this summer stating publicly that keeping Whiteside was Miami’s No. 1 priority. There was some talk that he might stay with the Heat, but Brian Windhorst of ESPN has stated that he is pretty much leaving Miami and the Mavs have now become the team that looks like the favorites to grab him. The 7-foot big man met with representatives from the Heat and the Dallas Mavericks in NY early Friday morning.
While it remains possible that Wade ultimately returns to the Heat, they may have to meet his demands in order to make it happen. To celebrate, he chose to overly rehearse a SnapChit to the 1998 hit “Miami” by Will Smith, except someone ripped the video and now it will live forever.
Wade grew up in Chicago before playing his college ball at Marquette University. Let the organization know that we the fans are not happy about all this stuff we’re hearing about $10 million offers and meetings being scheduled with other teams such as the Bucks and Knicks.

The Tinseltown team was long regarded as the favorites since they can offer him max money, the best exposure and the Hollywood lifestyle-things that Whiteside is thought to covet due to his journeyman career. “Our goal is to win a championship together”.
