For heaven’s sake man, go, Cameron tells Corbyn
Speaking outside the School of Oriental and African Studies, Corbyn said that when he became Labour party leader previous year he “wanted to change the way we do politics”.

British opposition Labour Party MP Hilary Benn was sacked. A lot of what he stands for is very important. Now, Milliband says he feels that Corbyn’s position is “untenable”. His party voted it had no confidence in him. If Corbyn fails to resign then it will take 51 MPs to write to the National Executive Committee of Labour to trigger a leadership election. Some people are saying this is unconstitional.
“His position can not and should not be challenged except through the proper democratic procedures provided for in the Party’s constitution”, the statement said.
In a speech to student supporters in London, Mr Corbyn said while he recognised not everybody supported the direction he was taking the party, he had the mandate to carry on. I’m not a Blairite, I’m not a plotter. I’m not a plotter. “I think he’s going to go”. “If there is a contest he will be standing again”.
Asked what he would have done in the same situation, he replied: “I would have gone”. I resisted calls to speak out against him when he was running for the job and since he was elected. “So it looks like the Labour party is heading for some form of contested election”. “Some of them ideological, some on other issues, but this is not ideological”. Prime Minister David Cameron heaped more pressure on opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn to resign after shouting “For heaven’s sake man, go!” across the House of Commons on Wednesday.
Although the Brexit vote was a devastating blow for the PM, the aftermath has unleashed equal waves of turmoil for the Labour Party. This is another damning piece of news in a week that’s seen more than 40 resignations from Corbyn’s own shadow cabinet. Unmoved, he replaced them. He holds less weight on parliamentary politics, and that’s where he is.
This backing comes days after City of Lincoln Council leader Ric Metcalfe said that he still had confidence in Corbyn’s position, despite many Labour Party members feeling that he had undermined the campaign to remain in the European Union.

Separately, Jeremy Corbyn has been criticised for appearing to compare the Israeli state with Islamic terrorist organisations, such as ISIS, in his speech at the launch of the report’s results.
