With no victor Friday night, the Mega Millions prize is 449 million dollars for Tuesday’s drawing.
The winning numbers on Friday were 20, 41, 42, 45 and 49. Tickets sold in MA and NY were worth $1 million.
The two players who won $2 million bought their tickets in Colorado and Indiana. That’s the third largest Mega Millions prize ever and seventh largest lottery jackpot of all-time in the U.S. Powerball’s jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing is at $247 million and has a current lump sum cash value of $179.7 million. Tickets in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania were sold with the Megaplier option and are worth $2 million each. In January, Nancy Viola won $169 million after buying a ticket in NY. It’s also the biggest prize available through Mega Millions since December 2013.
Powerball and Mega Millions are both multi-state games.
The odds of picking the correct numbers on five white balls and one yellow ball are one in 259 million.
The drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The Mega Millions jackpot has rolled over a whopping 31 times since the jackpot reset to $15 million on March 12, 2016.
