Musa has been playing in Moscow since 2012 and he enjoyed his most prolific season in front of goal in 2015-16, scoring 13 goals in 29 Russian Premier League outings.

According to the Russian media, the fee will be £16m, making the 23-year-old Leicester’s club record signing, only days after the France midfielder Nampalys Mendy arrived at the King Power Stadium from Nice.

The report also claims that Musa turned down offers from the likes of West Ham, Southampton and Everton.

“No one knows what will happen tomorrow and if at the end of the day a deal is done between my present club CSKA and an English Premier League side then it will be a big move”.

His move has also been confirmed by CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutsky.

Leicester have been chasing the Nigeria international’s signature since May, when boss Claudio Ranieri first contacted the Russian outfit with regards to Musa’s availability.

“And if you look at the way things are done over there you’ll see he is a player just made for English football”.
