It is my first time outside Germany so it will be a big adventure for me.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists he’s not planning to stoke any feud with Manchester United rival Jose Mourinho.

“I like to have the ball, to have the possession and to play passes, to create chances for my team-mates”.

Some of City’s players are dismayed at the jettisoning of personnel with whom they had forged trusted relationships, but Guardiola is determined to work with his own people.

However, we were all taken for a shock when Guardiola omitted Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s name in a list of top Premier League managers.

“It’s not so easy to watch them playing and being successful, because I know exactly what the feeling is”.

Mikel Arteta says he is joining the coaching staff at Manchester City, making the announcement on the day Pep Guardiola will be presented as the club’s new manager. The reason we are here is to think what we can do to make this a better club.

The Spaniard replied: “He’s not a bad player this guy”.

The 45-year-old joined City after three years at Bayern, where he won a hat-trick of Bundesliga titles but failed to reach a Champions League final.

“If your country wants you to play for them, you surely have to go, but it’s not up to me to decide”, said Iheanacho.

“I’m enjoying my time here so for me the most important thing is the recovery, to recover as soon as possible, but also the private life – it seems like a really good place”. I come here to learn.

Arteta was a leader both on and off the pitch and even in the latter stages of his career, where he spent most of the season out of the team, he still led by example and was on hand for experience and advice.

“One of my dreams was to play here like a football player and now it comes true as a manager. I was always curious to know what it is like in England”, added Guardiola, who has signed a three- year deal with City, believed to be worth £45m.
