Spice Girls ‘scrap plans to reunite for 20th anniversary’

Meanwhile Mel has revealed she has held on to almost every ensemble from her Spice Girls days because she was “obsessed” with the custom made outfits, which she requested to be made in three additional colours.

After the Spice Girls released “Wannabe” in 1996, they dominated the pop world globally. Now, The Mirror reports that Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton are not willing to tour without them – despite other claims that they’d be holding auditions to replace them.

She explained: “It’s our 20th anniversary this year – this would be the ideal year but places get booked out, so what we’re hopefully doing is planning on doing something to celebrate next year”.

The source explained: “Doing it without Victoria would have been a shame but might have been a possibility, but two missing is too many”.

“I’m a big fan of Barry’s Bootcamp, Zumba and yoga”, Mel told Britain’s Closer magazine, “I have to work out most days to stay in shape; I’m not one of those people who can eat whatever they like”.

“But it’s something that we want to do and it will be nice to celebrate and give something back to the fans”.

A Spice Girls reunion has been rumoured and teased since the girls’ breakup but now it seems that all of those rumours have been put to rest. Four of the original five members of the group also posed for a photo with Eva Longoria at David Beckham’s birthday party in 2015.

The Spice Girls last performed together at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics. “I like to mix up my workouts between the gym and the outdoors”, she added.

Still, Brown is hopeful some type of coming-together will occur soon, especially since she’s “not getting any younger”.
