‘It’s time Giggs stood on his own feet’
“Some managers, the last time they won a title was 10 years ago.the last time I won was a year ago”, Mourinho said in a dig at Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Sir Alex Ferguson has backed the decision of Jose Mourinho to bring in his own man as his assistant manager while also backing Giggs to forge a succesful career of his own in management. “I do not hide I chase Sir Alex (Ferguson’s) records in the Champions League”.
Asked if he was the Special One or the Happy One now, Mourinho replied: “I don’t know really”.
Mourinho accepts United captain Rooney may no longer have some of the edge of his youth, but does not believe he should be deployed in midfield. Ryan wanted to be Man United manager and the club, for reasons only the owners, Mr Woodward, the board can tell you, decided the job was for me.
“In football there are many jobs but the most hard to find is the guy who puts the ball in the back of the net”.
“The job Ryan wanted is the job the club chose to give me.that’s not my fault – the owners and Mr Woodward wanted me”.
“I have great motivation and I can say I am where I want to be, I want to be in this club, in the Premier League and I feel frustrated I am not playing in the Champions League”.
“I want everything. I want to win matches, I want to play well”.
“Yes, his passes are awesome, but my passes are also unbelievable with no pressure”. Many of you… the names.
Mourinho bridled at suggestions he did not promote young players, saying he had promoted 49 players from academies, but admitted he meant to sign another big-name player to bring to four the number of close-season signings at United. I want to score goals, I don’t want to concede goals.
“One lie repeated many times sometimes looks true, but it will never be true”.
Mourinho admits he is proud to have taken on the task of managing a club as big as United.

“We are not going to get the fourth on August 31 – we will get the fourth before then”, Mourinho said. “I was sacked by Chelsea and I’ve stayed in the same country with the same faces around me”, he said.
