Clinton’s FBI interview may show email probe is nearing end

An FBI probe into use of private email server by former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton could end in a “great chaos” for the 2016 presidential race in the country, an analyst says. “They did not discuss the Department of Justice’s review”.

However, a state department inquiry accused her and other former USA secretaries of state of poorly managing email security.

The FBI interviewed Clinton for more than three hours on Saturday about whether she exposed government secrets by blending personal and official business on a home email server.

Clinton and her staff have struggled to respond to accusations that her use of the server in violation of State Department protocol means she is untrustworthy.

Information for this article was contributed by Amy Chozick of The New York Times; by Ken Thomas and Eric Tucker of The Associated Press; and by Anne Gearan, Matt Zapotosky and Adam Goldman of The Washington Post. Sources familiar with the investigation had previously told CNN the Justice Department’s aim was to wrap up before the Republican and Democratic conventions later this month.

After Warren had endorsed her, Clinton acknowledged she’d “made mistakes”.

Not helping the trust campaign: the Bill Clinton-Loretta Lynch meeting.

The FBI completed an interview with the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Saturday.

“The conclusions of the reports were that there was no way military assets could have made it in time”, Becerra said Sunday.

Opponents argue that this breached rules about protecting classified documents from cyber attack and may have amounted to a crime.

But the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows the presumptive Republican nominee with a 41 per cent to 25 per cent lead over Mrs Clinton on honesty and trustworthiness. “I wish it hadn’t have happenen, but I think the Federal Bureau of Investigation will do its job”.

“When you’ve been in the eye of the tornado for as long as I have, I know there’s a lot of incoming fire, I accept that”.

Mrs Clinton is expected to be formally nominated as the Democratic candidate for the 8 November presidential election at the party’s convention in less than four weeks.

As attorney Elkan Abramowitz explained to LawNewz, a well-prepared Clinton would have been in a good position to make sure that she and her team had their story straight – thereby helping to bring the investigation to a more rapid close.

The Clinton campaign also is hoping Obama acts as a reminder of another, more popular chapter in Clinton’s career.

It’s a question presidential candidates have asked of their incumbent rivals for years, and the answer is complicated. Like I said, the system is totally rigged!

Bill Clinton controversially met with Ms Lynch on the tarmac at Arizona airport at the weekend.

Questions about Clinton’s ethics have dogged her from her days as first lady of Arkansas and later the United States during Bill Clinton’s governorship and presidency, through her service a senator from NY, her failed 2008 presidential campaign and as Obama’s secretary of state. Clinton aides say they’re confident they could deploy him in any battleground state, though they believe he’ll be particularly effective rallying young people, as well as black and Hispanic voters, and will be instrumental in voter registration efforts.

“Looking forward to hitting the campaign trail together, @POTUS”, she tweeted to the president.

Becerra called the meeting a “chance encounter that doesn’t seem to influence” the attorney general.
