Mourinho will head to China to face Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai on Friday 22 July, before they fly to Beijing on Monday 25 July for the highly-anticipated Manchester City clash.
Mourinho has a history of spending only short spells with clubs but he says his intent to build a Ferguson-style legacy at Old Trafford.
“We identified four players, we have two or three? I promoted 49 players from youth academies during my time at various clubs”, said the Portuguese, who appeared to have a pre-prepared list of the names with him. “I have the same respect for every club, every manager”.
