Davis is 1-0 with a 1.23 ERA and 19 saves in 29 1/3 innings for the Royals this season.

Wade Davis #17 of the Kansas City Royals throws in the ninth inning against the Houston Astros at Kauffman Stadium on June 26, 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri.
The 30-year-old lowered that ERA mark to 0.94 in 2015 to earn his first All-Star appearance and finish sixth in the Cy Young voting, but has not been quite as dominant this season.
Right-hander Brooks Pounders has been called up from Omaha.
