Pitcher Glasnow expected to make big league debut Thursday
Brault did make one rookie mistake.

ESPN’s Buster Olney is reporting that Pittsburgh Pirates SP prospect Tyler Glasnow will make his major league debut this weekend at PNC Park versus the Chicago Cubs.
Less than a month after promoting another top pitching prosepct in Jameson Taillon, the Pirates find themselves in need of another promotion from the farm.
Taillon has showed promise in his first five starts with the Pirates, compiling a 2-1 record with a 3.86 ERA. Brault, ironically, was called up when Taillon was sent to the disabled list. Glasnow’s approach can get wild at times though.
Heading into the season, Glasnow was the eighth-best prospect in all of baseball by MLB.com’s rankings and the second-best right-handed pitcher next to only Lucas Giolito. But perhaps the Pirates see his last start as evidence that he’s turned a corner. The Pirates now have their rotation set up until the All-Star break, but it’s unclear if Glasnow will remain a part of that picture following the Midsummer Classic. The command on the other hand is what has pushed the timetable back for Glasnow.

With Glasnow getting the nod, he will be the Pirates 11th starting pitcher of the season.
