Giaccherini only has a year remaining on his Sunderland contract and is one of the highest earners at the Stadium of Light, despite spending last season on loan at Bologna.

The 31-year-old Sunderland attacker shone during Euro 2016 with Italy as Conte’s side were knocked out on penalties by Germany in the quarter-finals.
And while Fiorentina are also interested in the Black Cats midfielder, his agent Furio Valcareggi says his client has his heart set on a move to west London. “Not at this time”, he told GazzaMercato. “There has been contact and interest”.

Chelsea have however, not made a move for the Italian worldwide and the Blues boss is not believed to be interested in the midfielder. But this also applies to Fiorentina and Bologna, who are gathering information before moving on.
