Google announced they added a few new features to the Now on Tap service. When you activate Now on Tap while reading an article about astronomy, for instance, tap the new Discover button to get a stream of photos, news articles, and videos about NASA or space exploration.

How often do you use Google Now on Tap? For example the latest update brings support for translating text on any page, among other things. After Wednesday’s update, Now on Tap will have the linguistic chops to recognize multiple languages within Chrome, Hangouts, Snapchat, or any other app you might find yourself using, Google Search product manager Aneto Okonkwo said in a blog post. It now only works on phones set to English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.

On top of that, Google is also adding a Discover button to Now on Tap, which will make it easier for folks to discover related content.

Finally Now on Tap support for QR codes and barcodes lets you get useful information on the items you want to buy.
