New Evolve Countdown Suddenly Appears On Website

This allows us to test new features and major changes to make our game more accessible and ever closer to the joy we saw when we first showed our baby to the world. Because you believed like we did, and we will never forget that.

Turtle Rock Studios is hinting that asymmetric multiplayer FPS Evolve will soon be free-to-play. The only reason why we know it’s something to do with Evolve is because its on the game’s website, other than that, we’ve got nothing.

Another interesting thought is Evolve could be debuting a new game mode. Would you be interested in seeing Evolve go free-to-play?

Evolve wasn’t necessarily a bad game, it just unfortunately didn’t get the recognition and player-base it deserved.

Evolve launched on Steam – as well as on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One – in February 2015.

Under the hood, the Evolve team wants to improve general performance, load times and the wait between firing the game up and getting into the action. Most recently, it averaged 105 players, with a peak of 234.
