Accolades with Manchester City are seemingly inevitable.

Pep Guardiola was showcased by Manchester City as their new manager, as part of a Question and Answer session with supporters.

“You will see when we are going to play the first game”, he added of the style he intends to implement.

He (Guardiola) has a good record working with young players. It is my first time outside Germany so it will be a big adventure for me.

“But I think they know I’m here 24 hours, thinking about them”.

Diego Gigliani, SVP of Media and Innovation for City Football Marketing, said: “The time was right for a full revamp of our site, reflecting both the new expectations of our digital fans and our vision of where media consumption is heading”. I had to wonder about family, I cannot live without them and in the end we didn’t decide (to sign).

And Nolito, who enjoyed a brief spell with Barcelona under Guardiola, arrives at the Etihad Stadium following a scintillating three-year spell with Celta Vigo which included 39 goals in 100 league appearances.

“I recognised over the last few months that I needed a change, to start from zero, to prove myself again, which is why I’m really happy to be here, to have the chance to work with Guardiola and this wonderful club”.

They sense was that a Champions League clash was the best we could hope for but now that the two world class managers have been named as United and City’s leaders, we are in for a brand new iteration of their battle.
