Bukky Ajayi is dead! – Is there another death in Nollywood?

In memory of her exceptional talent, we remember when she was honoured at the 2016 AMVCA with the Lifetime achievement award in March.
Before her alleged demise, she was confined to a wheelchair but was still very much lively.
She clocked 82 three months ago.

She studied at the Institute of Drama in London.
Bukky Ajayi was born into a christian family but converted to Islam in the early eighties and chose the name Zainab.
She was overseas for six years. She started with the “Village Headmaster” in the 70s, and she later got a role in Amaka Igwe’s ‘Checkmate’.
Ajayi also worked as an announcer, presenter and newscaster at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
