Clarkson, Hammond and May’s Grand Tour will definitely stop in the UK

Amazon are pulling out all the stakes to publicise Prime Day which takes place this coming Tuesday the 12th July.

Jay Marine, vice president of Amazon Video Europe, tells The Guardian that Clarkson, Hammond and May will film a live “studio” segment of the new show somewhere in the us, along with other locations throughout the world.

The Grand Tour joins Prime Video’s lineup of award-winning and critically-acclaimed TV shows and movies, which includes series like Mr. Robot, Downton Abbey, The Americans, Orphan Black, and Amazon Original Series and Movies from Amazon Studios like Transparent, The Man in the High Castle and kids series Tumble Leaf, and Love & Friendship.

The show, which will launch on Amazon Prime later this year, is being filmed in various spots around the world, the first of which will be in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Their latest plug is in conjunction with their Prime Video service where they’re making the most of Clarkson Hammond and May’s newly named The Grand Tour show. Even if you’re not involved with Prime Day deals we’re expecting Amazon retailers to benefit from the sheer volumes of traffic on the site.

A prize draw also opens today in which Amazon Prime customers can apply for a chance to be in the crowd at said United Kingdom recordings.
