Rain and T-storm chances remain in evening forecast

A northwest wind of 10 to 15 miles per hour becoming south in the morning is forecast, with winds gusting as high as 22 miles per hour. East winds 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Thursday and Friday could be the hottest with heat indexes hitting or topping 100 degrees.

Partly cloudy skies will move into the area Thursday night as temperatures fall to a low of about 57.

Saturday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. Partly cloudy with a low around 76.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10am. Highs will be in the 70s and low 80s, with not much of a breeze.

Afternoon highs should reach the low and mid 80s across Central New York. A few scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon as well.

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY: We could see some remaining t-storms as that system makes its way out of our area on Tuesday, otherwise we will see partly cloudy skies.

Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 9 a.m., then a chance in the afternoon. Highs will only be in the 60s and 70s, so it won’t be a typical warm July day.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, high near 86.
