Salman Khan’s Sultan opened in theatres on Wednesday and all controversies promptly flew out of most people’s minds. The much awaited Eid release features Salman as a Haryanvi wrestler.
Continuing the conversation smoothly thereafter, Aamir Khan said he had watched Sultan in the company of his film “Dangal” co-stars.
However, Sultan still failed to break the record set by none other than Tollywood’s pride, Baahubali, which released exactly a year ago in 2015. With Eid being postponed by a day, the film is expected to outdo its first day collection on Thursday, with analysts betting that the second day collection could be a massive Rs 43 to 45 crore.
“We thought Musafir, who got the booking confirmed from me, will come with 120 persons”, Amit Thakur MD of the mall told PTI. Despite that, the film reportedly did not manage to break PRDP’s record. “Sultan” = Hurricane at the box office”, he added.
“I start shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next film by the end of August”. He also revealed that he spoke to Salman while watching the film, “He wasn’t there but I was in touch with Salman throughout the film”. The movie is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is produced by Aditya chopra.

Several industry experts have predicted that the film will do a business of Rs 150 crore over the five-day weekend. When asked if it will be hard for “Dangal” since “Sultan” has already set a benchmark, the actor said, “I never compare my films with others”.
