Storm threat returning tonight, risk of severe storms continues
Damaging winds and large hail are the primary threats.

In the South, hot weather and diminishing soil moisture reserves continue to stress pastures and rain-fed summer crops in an area stretching from northern and central MS to the southern Appalachians.

Parts of central and east Alabama have a marginal risk of severe weather.
