Trump rallies supporters in Denver, calls Clinton ‘as weak as they get’
“I just call them Republicans against Trump, or RAT for short”, she said at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver”.

“It’s rigged against the people”, Trump said about the political system.
Back in April, Trump slammed the process, and the fierce outcry he triggered culminated in state GOP Chairman Steve House receiving death threats.
The Western Conservative Summit is the largest gathering of politically conservative Americans outside of Washington, D.C. On the first day of the summit, Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska, said Donald Trump was an outsider who conservatives should be supporting.
Republican National Committee spokeswoman Lindsay Walters said numerous politicians who have said they won’t attend have never participated in a convention and wouldn’t necessarily be expected to attend.
The “winners’ night” Trump has promised would be jam-packed with sports figures supportive of his candidacy, and he has floated such big names as New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, UFC fighter Dana White and NASCAR CEO Brian France.
When asked about Pence as a potential running mate this week, Trump described him as “somebody we respect a lot”.
Linda Chavez led a seminar Friday afternoon on immigration. She’s chair of the Center for Equal Opportunity and held several positions in the administration of President Ronald Reagan, including director of public liaison and staff director of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. “I’ll do very well”, Trump said at a recent rally in Atlanta. He’s scheduled to be the main speaker for Saturday’s dinner. Noting his event at a packed New Orleans airport hanger before the Louisiana primary, Trump remembered thinking “How could I lose?”
The seventh-annual event is sponsored by the Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University.
Outside the speech, police arrested three people after protesters clashed with Trump supporters.
Though Trump has previously insisted his convention would represent a break from the “boring” political rites of conventions past, the reality of the situation appears to have softened his stance. Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton, who’s scheduled to speak Saturday morning, has been mentioned as a possible Trump vice presidential pick. Columnist George W. Will announced last Friday that he has left the Republican Party.
Additions to Trump’s team include Oklahoma energy executive Larry Nichols; Todd Christie, the brother of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a finalist for Trump’s vice president; David Fischer, a top auto manufacturer in MI and a major RNC donor; long-time GOP fundraiser Ron Gidwitz, of Chicago; Francis Rooney, the former USA ambassador to the Vatican; Brian Ballard, a prominent Florida lobbyist; and Larry Mizel, a Colorado real estate titan active in the Jewish fundraising world.
“I am voting for Trump – I have not officially endorsed him, but I will be voting for the nominee of the party”, Stockham said. Some said people were vacationing for the holiday weekend.
“I think the first thing we need to do as conservatives is recognize a basic truth: Conservatives have already lost this election”, said Mr. Shapiro.
Wadhams has been watching Trump’s campaign closely, particularly where it comes to Colorado.
The Trump campaign did not respond to requests for comment.
“I think the country is better served – I think we’ll be safer and more prosperous with a Republican president and Republican Congress”, Cotton said. Palin joked that the “protestors would never turn up at a job site”.
Quite a few logistical questions remain unanswered in the weeks ahead of the Republican National Convention.

“What are your choices?” He said neighbors or family members of would-be terrorists may witness preparations for attacks but may consider not saying anything out of fear they’d be criticized. “I have to believe it’s the same on the Democratic side as well”.
