President Barack Obama says the shooting of about a dozen police officers in Dallas was a vicious, calculated and despicable attack on law enforcement.

President Barack Obama makes a statement on the fatal police shootings of two black men in Louisiana and Minnesota after arriving in Warsaw, Poland, Friday, July 8, 2016. Several suspects were in custody.
“Keep them in your thoughts and, as a nation, let’s do not forget to express our profound gratitude to our men and women in blue not just today, but everyday”, he said.
Obama, who has been continuously notified of the devastating fatal shootings in Dallas while in Poland, said there could be not possible explanation for the attack.
After arriving in Poland in the early morning hours Friday, Obama went to his hotel and delivered a statement about two police-involved shootings this week, saying the episodes reflected persistent racial disparity.
On Thursday, Obama addressed recent shootings by police officers which have sparked controversy and protests nationwide. Police in Dallas were on duty, doing their job, keeping people safe during a peaceful protest. He has acknowledged becoming out of the touch with the public mood during past foreign travels and seemed determined not to let that happen this week.
In this case, Obama also proved to be grimly attuned to the potential for violence directed at police and criticism that the protesters were hostile toward law enforcement. He argued that there was no contradiction between supporting law enforcement and working to see that biases in the justice system are rooted out.
WARSAW, Poland (AP) – President Barack Obama on Friday reaffirmed his confidence that the USA and its European allies will continue to work together on critical global challenges despite the decision by Britain to leave the European Union. In a stream of tweets overnight, former congressman Joe Walsh repeatedly blamed the President’s words and the Black Lives Matter movement for inciting violence. “But right now, the data shows that black folks are more vulnerable to these kinds of incidents”. “I believe I speak for every single American when I say that we are horrified by these events and that we stand behind (the police)”.
“Today is a wrenching reminder of the sacrifices they make for us”, Obama said of law enforcement officers.

Obama said he wanted Friday to “focus is on the victims and their families”. They are heartbroken. The entire city of Dallas is grieving.
