Bernie Sanders expected to endorse Clinton on Tuesday
Voters are more satisfied with Hillary Clinton at this point in the campaign than they were with her husband Bill Clinton as when he ran for president in 1992. Sanders was invited to join a meeting with House Democrats on Wednesday, where he dodged questions about endorsing Clinton and was met with boos after saying, “The goal isn’t to win elections”. “This proposal combines some of the strongest ideas she fought for during the campaign with some of the principles that I fought for”.

The poll showed an American public following the campaign closely – 77 percent called it “interesting” versus 39 percent four years ago – but turned off by both major political party candidates. Sanders’ $75 billion-a-year plan would have been paid for by a tax on Wall Street speculations.
Clinton’s proposal is estimated to cover 83 percent of American households. She also pledged $25 billion to help lower student costs at historically black colleges and universities.
The Vermont senator is expected to make the announcement at a campaign event in New Hampshire on Tuesday. Likewise, Arizona and Georgia “lean” Republican, but Clinton enjoys “core Democratic constituencies” in those states, Shaw said.
But his campaign insisted Sanders didnt mean the comments as a formal endorsement of Clinton. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt, shake hands before the start of the Univision, Washington Post Democratic presidential debate at Miami-Dade College, Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in Miami, Fla. Clinton and Sanders officials declined comment on the possible rally, which was first reported by NBC News.
Sanders hasn’t conceded the Democratic nomination to presumptive candidate Hillary Clinton and delegates from Bucks County agree it’s very unlikely he’ll get the party nod.
A collection of grassroots pro-Sanders groups, which includes Tampa Bay for Bernie, has submitted a list of amendments to the current platform to the DNC platform committee. According to CNN, Sanders is pressing for policy concessions to be considered for the party’s platform, yet Clinton aides continue to chafe against Sanders remaining in the race now that Clinton is the presumptive Democratic nominee.

As David Corn at Mother Jones wrote on July 1st, “On Tuesday, Sanders told USA Today that he was preparing for a clash at the Democratic convention next month-that is, if the party does not embrace his more progressive stances on the minimum wage, trade, and climate change”.
