Government ordered to artists to remove the rabbit from the ear of Nelson Mandela’s giant statue

The sculptors were ordered by South African government to remove the small rabbit from the ear of Nelson Mandela’s statue.

Actually, the cheeky artists have placed a bronze rabbit – that is their trademark signature, secretly in the ear of the statue of former president.

The global hero, Nelson Mandela, who was former president of South Africa, died at the age of 95. He was also widely acclaimed for his role in fighting white minority rule.

The bronze statue was unveiled on December 16, the day after Mr. Mandela was buried, at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.

Later, both artists Andre Prinsloo and Ruhan Janse van Vuuren, had apologized for any offence caused to the government and Mr. Mandela’s family.
