Inside Fendi’s Takeover of the Trevi Fountain in Rome Today

Bella Thorne looks super fierce while attending the welcome party before the Fendi Roma 90 Years Anniversary show on Thursday (July 7) in Rome, Italy. The collection of 46 outfits, entitled Legends and Fairy Tales, was inspired by the work of Danish fairytale illustrator Kay Nielsen, who painted colour plates for the book Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Andersen in 1924 and later worked on sequences for the 1940 Disney film Fantasia.

Dresses were nipped in at the waist or featured a bell skirt, the house’s trademark fur coat made an appearance in lynx, but what wowed the 200 exclusive guests was a patterned cape, in grey silk, which opened at both the front and back.

FENDI, together with Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi, celebrate on this occasion, 90 years of the Maison’s great revolutionary worldwide achievements, avant-garde experimentation, unlimited research and innovation, proposing new luxurious and modern fur designs and accessories.

And just days after turning his Chanel couture runway in Paris into a designer’s workshop, he flew fashion’s elite to Rome on a private Fendi plane to witness models walking on water.

The Italian fashion house was part of the fountain’s restoration project with a contribution of 2.18 million euros.
