Trump defending himself anew against charges of bigotry
Donald Trump and his supporters invoke the term “political correctness” with abandon to rebut accusations of racism or misogyny lodged against the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

Trump’s Twitter TWTR, +1.42% account on Saturday tweeted a picture of Democrat Hillary Clinton against a backdrop of cash, with the words “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever” inside a six-pointed star. He posted an image of the “Frozen” sticker book featuring the characters Elsa and Anna on his Twitter.
The Wisconsin lawmaker slammed the tweet earlier this week and warned that anti-Semitic images “have no place in a presidential campaign”. “That’s just a star!'”
“It’s just a corrupt media”, Trump added.
“Incidents like this one have undermined the trust between police departments and the communities they serve”.
Trump’s campaign declined to comment.
Trump insisted that the star featured in the tweet’s image was not the Star of David.
During a campaign stop this week, Trump recalled telling a staffer, “You shouldn’t have taken it down”. He wanted to emphasize on the dishonesty of the media in reporting his anti-Semitic post.
“Where is the outrage for this Disney book?”
Unfortunately for Trump, the “Frozen” tweet dug him further down into his rabbit hole.
Only a few minutes later, Clinton responded to Trump’s tweet, asking, “Do you want to build a strawman?” “I said, ‘Too bad, you should have left it up.’ I would have rather defended it, just leave it up, and say, ‘No, that’s not a Star of David”.
Rubin – a former mayor of the Israeli city of Shiloh and author of several books on Islamic terrorism – says it’s actually Clinton who has displayed anti-Semitic tendencies for many years.
Alternately, and ominously, Trump or his staffers knew full well where the meme originated and simply didn’t care.
