White Sox turn triple play against Braves
The White Sox recorded three outs on one play against each Texas team earlier this season.

Sale, a candidate to be the AL’s starter in next week’s All-Star Game, admitted he wasn’t himself.
“I’ve never gotten that many (antibiotic) shots in my life”, Teheran said. “Stuff like this happens”.
The White Sox (44-41) have won five straight series and seven of their last 10 games. “I don’t know how I got (the infection), but I’m glad we got it before it got worse”.
Flowers downplayed having any edge as a hitter after catching Sale.
“It’s a lot different then staring at someone squatting and knowing what is coming then standing sideways and looking left and trying to figure out what is coming so I really don’t think so besides knowing the pitches that he has”, Flowers said. “Whenever you make it the first time, you just want to keep being an All-Star”. Atlanta racked up 15 hits, including eight extra-base hits, for a season-high 11 runs.
Did the Braves, including Flowers – Sale’s longtime batterymate in Chicago – have a special approach against the left-hander?
“It will be a fun experience”, Flowers said.
Despite all that, Atlanta easily handled the usually unbeatable Chris Sale, clubbing three home runs and scoring eight runs through five innings en route to an 11-8 win.
The White Sox became the first team to turn three triple plays in a season since 1979 (Boston and Oakland) in the third inning. But Freeman’s soft liner to shortstop bounced in front of Tim Anderson, who trapped the ball, tagged the lead runner at second base, stepped on the bag and fired to first in time for a triple play. Their first triple play was a weird happening against the Rangers in April, while their second one was a much more conventional play against the Astros about a month later. He’ll face an offense consisting of Cuban import Jose Abreu, second on the team in RBI to their newest third baseman Todd Frazier, who also leads the team with 23 home runs despite a. 211 avg.
The Chicago White Sox now boast a trifecta of triple plays this season.
Frazier, the defending All-Star Home Run Derby champion, is pumped to take his cuts at Monday’s competition in San Diego. “We have a little plan”, Frazier said, “and you look at who I’m stacked against and there are some big guns”.
Frazier, second in the American League with 24 homers, will take on Colorado’s Carlos Gonzalez in the first round and hit second in the matchup, which Frazier prefers. Wisler, who took the loss Sunday against Miami after allowing three runs and 10 hits, is 2-2 with a 3.82 ERA away from home.
