Sunderland snap up Yann M’Vila on loan

Yann M’Vila has become Sunderland’s latest close-season signing as Dick Advocaat looks to improve the team’s fortunes in the Premier League.

Obviously, M’Vila’s career path has gone somewhat awry since he started making waves at Rennes in 2009/2010, but there’s still a decent player in there somewhere if he can keep his monster ego in check.

Sunderland have completed the signing of Liverpool target Yann M’Vila from Rubin Kazan, according to reports from the Daily Star. “I had a very good feeling training with the team”.

He won 22 caps but has not represented his country since 2012, having been banned from playing worldwide matches for 19 months following an unauthorised night out while on duty with France’s under-21s.

They have added several new players to their ranks ahead of the 2015/16 season and M’Vila is another name to a list that includes Sebastian Coates, Adam Matthews, Jeremain Lens and Younes Kaboul.

However, after an indifferent time in Russian Federation, M’Vila went on loan to Serie A side Inter Milan last season where he made just eight league appearances.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the 25-year-old said: “I’m very happy to be a Sunderland player”.

“The Premier League presents a fresh challenge for him, its one I know he is relishing and we are delighted to welcome him to the club”.
