If a picture is worth a thousand words, then Russell Brand‘s most recent Instagram did a lot of talking. “Time to get ready!” he captioned the snapshot of him wide-eyed while peeking over the book’s edge.

Brand had so far stayed quiet on the subject of claims he was going to be a dad since the rumours first surfaced in May.
The 41-year-old actor took to Instagram on Friday, July 8 to confirm previous rumors that he and his girlfriend, Laura Gallacher, are having a baby.
The comedian has been dating Laura Gallacher, the younger sister of television presenter Kirsty Gallacher, since a year ago, although they have also dated previously in 2007 and 2009. At the time, Laura was reportedly five months along and is due in fall.
It follows the exciting news of Russell and Laura’s engagement, shortly after Laura’s pregnancy was first reported. Most of his closest friends have children and he was desperate to start a family.
