Sultan stood as the highest grosser in the year 2016 till today. Produced by Yashraj banner and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, “Sultan” is a biopic on the life of Olympian wrestler Sultan Ali Khan.

The film broke first-day collection records in East Punjab and Mysore. Analysts and multiplex players believe Wednesday could end up becoming the biggest opening day for a film at the box-office so far this year, despite it being a working day.
In Sultan, Salman Khan essays the role of wrestler Sultan Ali Khan, an Olympic gold medallist who is forced to go into retirement because of unforeseen circumstances.
Comparing only Hindi films, Sultan has shattered the opening day record by a huge margin of 60% by surpassing previous record holder Fan that collected Rs 2.15 crore on its opening day. “If there is one film which can break the record of “PK“, it is “Sultan”.
“The opening (of “Sultan”) has been huge”. Carnival is playing 1,250 plus shows of Sultan in over 285 screens across India.
In response to the Advance ticket booking, the tickets are just selling by some people in black as well, and had a first show with housefull, there is no space in the theatre and there is a lot of traffic as well.
Where most of the films struggle to make 50 crores in the first week, the film is heading to cross 80 crores as 2 days box office collections amount. However, this brings Shah Rukh above Aamir with SRK making Rs 85.17 crore while Aamir makes for sum total of Rs 76.35 crore. The opening of the film remains the biggest beating Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

Suzi Khan, Randeep Hooda, Amit Sadh, Tyron Woodley etc., are featuring in this film. Salman Khan is popular worldwide. Bhai’s body, Bhai’s expressions in the poster, all was world class. Anushka was also there but I didn’t pay much attention to her. Maza aa gaya kasam se, I m going gin in th vning to look at the poster. Salman fans are happy after listening to the reviews from audience.
