Show producer promises no ‘Droughtlander’ coming to season 3
The “Outlander” season 2 finale titled “Dragonfly in Amber” airs tonight at 10 p.m. ET. Brianna angrily denies her mother’s allegations, but Roger is very interested in Claire’s story.

In the first episode of Season 2, fans see Claire back in the 1940s reuniting with Frank, telling him what she had been through and how she had loved another man. Frank also finds out that Claire is now pregnant with Jamie’s child and agrees to raise the baby as his own if Claire will forget about her former life and live in the moment with him.
If you found your eyes brimming with tears during Claire and Jamie’s waltz, take comfort in the fact that you were not alone.
Who could return in the “Outlander” Season 2 finale?
In addition to the 1968 storyline, the episode also featured Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire being forced to kill Dougal (Graham McTavish) as he overhears their last desperate effort to stop the uprising and the Battle of Culloden. The character in question is said to have “a key part in helping Claire reconcile what happened centuries earlier during the Battle of Culloden”.
It was such a powerfully romantic and painfully gut-wrenching scene, so we called up Outlander’s executive producer Maril Davis to get the exclusive behind-the-scenes details on how they brought this iconic goodbye with Heughan and Balfe to life from script to screen.
Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin will be introduced in the “Outlander” Season 2 finale as Brianna Randall and Roger Wakefield, respectively.
Outlander’s season two finale is just around the corner. “There are no better storytellers for Outlander than this team, both in front and behind the camera”.
The Outlander season 2 finale is finally upon us, and fans can’t wait to see how the final episode of the season ends up. Claire also reveals that she’s carrying Jamie’s baby, and Frank agrees to raise the child with her, if she’ll make no mention about her journey or Jamie to the child as long as he’s alive. This is a series that is steeped in fantasy but has always done a good job rooting itself in reality, and despite the timey-wimey-ness of the Season 2 finale, here’s hoping it retains that basis moving into its next two (currently renewed) seasons.
