Shots, threats at police in other states reported
The wound was in the neck and the male officer was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, in Creve Coeur, the sources said.

Taylor allegedly sped away after the shooting and was arrested four miles away after his auto was spotted by an officer from a neighboring police department.
Authorities have also identified the suspect who ambushed Officer Flamion during a traffic stop Friday morning.
He added that it was a “sad day for law enforcement”, especially after the tragedy in Dallas, where five police officers were slain overnight.
He added that Taylor was on probation for stealing a vehicle in Oklahoma and has previously served prison time for illegally possessing a firearm.
Said St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar: “Make no mistake, we believe that Ballwin officer was ambushed”.
Taylor, who was arrested shortly after fleeing the scene, was jailed on $500,000 cash bond. Police said charges are pending against the suspect.
The shooting on Friday morning came less than 12 hours after veteran Micah Xavier Johnson shot 12 police officers and two civilians in Dallas, killing two cops.
Residents and witnesses in the area called 911 to report that the officer had been shot, the police chief said.
The officer’s dash camera captured the incident, and police said it indicated Taylor fired three shots.
There’s nothing to indicate the Valdosta shooting is related to the one in Dallas, Childress said, though he noted it is still early in the investigation.
One of the gunshots hit the man in the abdomen, just below his bulletproof vest, Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesman Scott Dutton said.
Investigators say when the officer turned to walk back to his cruiser Taylor got out of his vehicle and fired three shots as the officer had his back to him.
St. Louis Public Radio has redacted Taylor’s Social Security number and exact address from the charging documents. He was caught with a weapon in California which made him a felon in possession of a firearm.
An officer returned fire, striking Scott.
“We need somebody out there to meet us halfway, because it is very hard for police officers to do their jobs now”, Belmar said.
Law enforcement officials said a Ballwin Police Department officer was shot in the neck by Antonio Taylor, 31, who was pulled over for speeding.
St Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch said there was no evidence of any dispute between Taylor and the officer before the gunfire.
