Dwyane Wade leaves Miami Heat for Chicago Bulls

One pair is orange in a nod to Wade’s beloved Chicago Bears, and the other is aqua to pay tribute to the Miami Dolphins and the water of the South Florida coastline.

“He expected to be back with Miami and I expected him to be back with Miami”.

Wade wasn’t able to come to terms with the Heat on a new contract, leaving the possibility open of returning to his birthplace for the next phase of his career. With Wade staying in the Eastern Conference on thing is for certain: the Heat and Bulls match ups will be highly entertaining. That includes a series of vignettes honoring Wade’s Heat career titled “13 Moments”.

Anike Sakariyawo, CEO of the Seeking Empowerment Foundation in Miami, which received $10,000 from Wade in 2012, said Wade gave the city 13 of his best years.

“I just want to thank all my fans”, Wade said on-air, before an audience that included at least one person who waved his Heat jersey.

This Bulls team with the addition of Wade is looking like they could make some noise in the East, but it is still likely not enough to compete with the Raptors and Cavaliers.

“Growing up, Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls was the team for us”. And while Wade may have a bit more left in the tank that those guys did at the time, it sure would have been much more impactful if it happened the first time they courted the former Miami Heat superstar.

Wade, who played with the Miami Heat for 13 seasons, announced his intention to sign with the Bulls on Wednesday night.

In an effort to take the National Basketball Association back to the old school, Ripa presented Wade with very small Chicago Bulls shorts, which she referred to as “hot trousers”. I think we can look forward to the battles he will have with his buddy LeBron in the next few years as well.

“You get a week to decide what you’re gonna do”, he continued about the free agency process for National Basketball Association players.

“Last night was a long night for me”, Wade said.

Dwyane Wade is a Chicago Bull, and that just proves without a shadow of a doubt, that this league is ridiculous, and to always expect the unexpected. If anything the prospects seemed more realistic about six years ago, when Dwyane Wade paid a visit to the Bulls as a free agent.
