Bernie Sanders to possibly endorse Hillary Clinton at campaign event next week
Even if Sanders doesn’t run as a third party prez pick, Robinson said he will likely be in the hunt for one on the other side of the conventions. The Green Party is now only on the ballot in about 20 states; that’s barely enough to come in second.

The roughly 15,000-word platform is a nonbinding document that serves as a guidepost for the party.
The endorsement has not been finalized yet, as Sanders pushes for expanded health care access. Barack Obama traveled to Unity, New Hampshire for their first big joint rally following a hard-fought primary. But Sanders supporters exploded in cheers when they won environmental amendments that included support for pricing greenhouse gases, prioritizing renewable energy and limiting fracking.
Not even a political revolution could score the Green Party the presidency this year. He was not expected to end his presidential bid.
The Clinton campaign on Thursday announced the New Hampshire trip but did not provide details, including any mention of Mr Sanders.
Presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton may not have seen the last of Bernie Sanders this election cycle.
“My preference is sooner rather than later”.
This demonstrates the striking growth of the “Bernie or Bust” movement, and it spells potential trouble for Hillary Clinton, who has shifted her rhetoric to the left in response to the ambitious progressive agenda of her opponent. “By contrast, almost three times as many Democrats age 65 or older want the Vermont Senator to step aside now and throw his support to Clinton”, the Field Poll states.
“There’s heartbreak in politics when you work as hard as you do and you come up short”.
“I ” m certainly not getting behind Hillary Clinton”, he said.
During the campaign, Sanders supported replacing the ACA with single-payer healthcare.
Two Democrats with knowledge of his plans say Sanders is closing in on offering his public endorsement of Clinton.
For his part, Sanders has outlined a wish list of sorts. His campaign’s latest public critique of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, the party’s chair, called for the elimination of superdelegates.
Sanders instead pointed to progress with Clinton, telling reporters after the meeting that he applauded a “very bold initiative” by the former secretary of state to make college more affordable. For example, “if the economy went south”, Enten said, “Donald Trump would have a better chance of winning”. “There is a huge win-win opportunity”, said Oregon Sen.
Sanders got in the presidential race more than a year ago more to advance his ideas than to actually win, many felt, and this moment is what that was all building toward. She is scheduled to appear in Northern Virginia next Thursday with Sen.
Her proposal would be paid for by cutting tax subsidies for upper-income taxpayers. That’s a move that would be welcomed by Sanders’ loyalists.

Clinton’s team is trying to head off a confrontation with passionate, young Sanders supporters at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia later this month. “In 2008, just a quarter of Obama’s supporters said their vote was more a vote against John McCain than a vote for Obama”.
