The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has been named the number one party school in the country by the Princeton Review – and the chancellor isn’t happy about it. The university claimed the top spot on the list Monday for the first time in more than a decade, knocking Syracuse University – the previous victor – down to No. 5. Rider’s radio station was the only one in New Jersey and Pennsylvania to be included on the list.

Champlain College has been a fixture on other Princeton Review lists, including the Princeton Review’s Guide to 353 Green Colleges: 2015 Edition; and was named #15 in the Princeton Review’s Top Undergraduate Schools for Video Game Design. “We focus on developing our students academically, socially and spiritually so they will be uniquely equipped for personal success and so they will be uniquely capable of adding great value to the lives of other people”. “I would like to personally extend my congratulations to John Mozes and all of the students who run our radio station for their remarkable achievement”.

The Princeton Review survey asks students to rate their colleges on several issues – from the accessibility of their professors to the quality of their science lab facilities – and answer questions about themselves, their fellow students and their campus life. The ranking methodology uses a five-point Likert scale to convert qualitative student assessments into quantitative data for school-to-school comparisons.

“We base our choices primarily on data we obtain in our annual surveys of administrators at these schools and at hundreds of other colleges”, said Rob Franek, Princeton Review’s senior vice president.

The College’s career-conscious education is “animated by Champlain’s “invested, passionate and dedicated” professors who “know your name, ‘ are ‘enthusiastic about the students” education, ‘ and ‘have an extraordinary amount of experience in their field.'” Another student characterized undergrads as “earthy, like winter sports, artsy, outgoing, and always looking for new opportunities”. “Our goal is to help applicants choose and get into their dream college – the college best for them”. In 1992, the station moved to its current dial position, 107.7 FM. Its appeal is broad-based and liked by students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff and the community-at-large.
