Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced a state funeral and day of national mourning in honour of the man who owned just two sets of clothes, but whose work uplifting the nation´s destitute and orphans cemented his place in the hearts of Pakistan´s masses. On the occasion, The Governor has also paid rich tributes to the services which the deceased had rendered for humanity and said that there was no example of it in the world and vowed that his mission will be continued. His senior aides Mushtaq Ghani and Asad Qaiser accompanied him.
Security officials said that a 21 gun salute was also offered.
“We have to conserve water for our future generations and that is why I don’t misuse this precious gift of nature”, he said in an earlier conversation.
After stories of out-of-wedlock children being killed, Edhi put cradles with signs saying “Don’t sin again” or “Don’t murder again, put the baby in the cradle”, in front of his clinics. “He was an entire institution in himself”, Sattar stated, adding, that he was being missed by each and every person of the country.
