Watch Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Emotional Final ‘Hamilton’ Curtain Call
Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda took his final curtain call with the show on Saturday, along with fellow original cast members Ariana DeBose, Leslie Odom, Jr. and Phillipa Soo.

Set to the sounds of the West Wing theme song (a personal favorite of Miranda’s), the final curtain call was met with loud applause, as Soo, Miranda, Odom and exiting ensemble member Ariana DeBose (also known as “the bullet”) took a bow in unison.
The performance was attended by celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Jane Fonda, Spike Lee, Mariska Hargitay and Rosie O’Donnell, who was reportedly seeing the show for the 24th time. “Hamilton” won 11 awards at this year’s Tony Awards, a Pulitzer Prize and a Grammy. Christopher Jackson, who plays George Washington in the musical, pushed Miranda back out in front of the company twice to take additional solo bows.
Soo wrote, “Thanks to all for the love and support the past two years”.
He also tweeted dedicating his final performance to the lives lost in last month’s Orlando nightclub shootings as well as the Dallas police officers who lost their lives this week. “‘Til next time, folks!'”
“Quite frankly, the most important thing that I see in this entire journey, it’s the amount of young kids that are learning the history of our nation”, he said.
“I wanted to get a glimpse of Lin-Manuel and all of them [cast members] here who’ve had a great run”, said Manhattanite Derrin Stull, 25, who has entered the 10-dollar ticket lottery every day but has yet to win one of the coveted ducats. “I intend to drop-in on this, over and over again”, Miranda said.

Miranda’s next move will be preparing for his film role in the sequel to Mary Poppins; he’ll play a lamplighter named Jack.
