Musk hints at top secret Tesla masterplan: tweet
Yet on Sunday, the mogul announced on Twitter that he is working on a “secret master plan, part 2”, with details to come later this week.

In that post, Musk first discussed the cars that became the Tesla 3 sports sedan and Tesla S four-door auto. That adds to doubts that Tesla can produce 500,000 vehicles in 2018.
Last month, Tesla proposed to buy SolarCity over which Musk serves as chairman and principal shareholder.
As Shah put it in the June 25 article, given only 1 per cent of United States residential consumers have solar on their roofs and even less than that have electric vehicles, there is great potential for someone like Musk to unveil a combined “climate change package”. “If there was a combined solar ($20K), EV ($30K), and efficiency ($5K) package SolarCity could cost effectively sell into all 50 states”.
Perhaps this “top secret Tesla masterplan, part 2” is the oomph it needs. Musk replied with the below comment. In recent weeks, the electric auto company has become the subject of a federal safety investigation following at least two crashes – one fatal – possibly related to its highly touted autopilot feature; Tesla has announced a drop in Model S shipments; and Musk himself has come under fire after proposing that Tesla purchase SolarCity, which he is also the chairman of, much to the chagrin of shareholders.
It spite of Murray’s questioning and tweets, he admitted, “I am a big fan on Elon Musk” and said he thinks “the technology is great”.
The Palo Alto automaker and Musk have been hit with a recent string of bad news.

Tesla also said last week that shipments to customers fell in the past three months, making it unlikely the California-based firm would meet expectations for delivering 80,000 to 90,000 vehicles this year.
