Kristen Bell blasts Trump over ‘Frozen’ tweet: ‘Zip it Don’

Kristen Bell has responded to Donald Trump after he tried to defend his use of a Star of David by comparing his deleted tweet to a Frozen book. On Wednesday, he saiddeleting the tweet was a mistake – he said he “would rather have defended it” – and offered a new defense: Disney uses the Star of David, so why can’t he?

Now the Twitter-savvy presumptive Republican nominee has posted a new photo of the cover of a Frozen children’s book, which also featured an image of a star which read “with 50 stickers”.

“Where is the outrage for the Disney book?”

“These people are sick, they’re sick”, Trump said about the media, while pointing the finger at CNN. You know they took the star down!’ he exclaimed. Putting the message next to a six-pointed star – usually recognized known as the Star of David – overlaid on top of piles of money was probably not the best decision.

But the current House Speaker, Paul Ryan, who is also Republican, criticized the tweet earlier this week and warned that anti-Semitic images “have no place in a presidential campaign”.

Hillary Clinton was undoubtedly unimpressed with her rival’s distasteful conduct, tweeting back a reference to a song from the movie: “Do you want to build a strawman?”

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski called the controversy “political correctness run amok”.

“‘You shouldn’t have taken it down, ‘” he said as if he was speaking to his team.

Trump has since addressed the shootings in a statement Friday morning, expressing sorrow over the death of five Dallas police officers as well as the “senseless, tragic deaths” in Louisiana and Minnesota.

“Just think about it for a second – you’re doing a tweet about how somebody who is a crook, so you put in cash”.
