Zombies tear down Los Angeles in new ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ teaser
The long-awaited spin-off of Fox’s popular The Walking Dead, now airing on Channel 5, will air at 9:00pm the following Monday, August 31 with Southern Gothic drama Rectify getting its UK debut on Tuesday, September 1. Fans have long had lingering questions about the fall of civilization in “The Walking Dead“.

Erickson added, “We structured the season in a way that they’re still somewhat insulated from the greater truth of what’s going on”.
In another interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kirkman also explained why the “Walking Dead” team has always been careful in bringing fan-favorite characters, such as Negan, into the TV adaptation.
While the zombie show’s Season 2 has a 15-episode order, the sci-fi series about a semi-futuristic world where everyone has a robot “synthetic” will receive eight episodes.
The “slower burn” pace is a benefit, Erickson said, because “we do get to steep ourselves, I think, in this incredibly dysfunctional, blended family dynamic”.
That’s not easy. And there are, undoubtedly, moments in the first couple of episodes where it’s just not almost as much fun as the original and, because viewers want to see zombies, the whole thing feels like a lurching story we already know being told too slowly.
Living in the same universe as The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Elizabeth Rodriguez and Lorenzo James Henrie will also star in the new-fangled series, with Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Ruben Blades and Mercedes Mason rounding out the ensemble. “I think by the end of Season 1, we definitely know the world has changed”.
The prequel series to The Walking Dead, set to premiere later this month, will be set in the east Los Angeles neighborhood, away from the more glamorous and famous parts of the city that usually get all the attention.
