Trump adviser: Women should be ones to decide on abortion
“I think for women ― these are hard issues ― I think women have to be able to choose what they ― sort of the right of choice”, Flynn told her on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos”.

His comments highlight potential friction with delegates at the upcoming Republican National Convention in Cleveland, which will need to ratify the vice presisdential choice of Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee.
Flynn was asked where he stands on the topic of abortion. Yesterday’s splashy WaPo story about Flynn’s rise through the VP ranks didn’t use that word specifically, but it sure made it sound like he’s the guy Trump is looking at most closely right now.
David Bozell, president of the conservative group ForAmerica, which claims nine million supporters, said the Flynn “trial balloon… needs to be popped”.
There are a couple of things unique about General [Michael] Flynn.
Trump associates say that Flynn has been the subject of growing discussions inside the campaign, as Trump himself has signaled publicly that he is exploring a running mate from outside the ranks of politicians, including from the military.
Earlier this year, Flynn said of Clinton’s email controversy: “If it were me, I would have been out the door and probably in jail”.
Now Flynn, 57, who has briefed Trump in person and penned memos for him, has emerged as more than a valued informal adviser – he’s a potential running mate.
Trump has specifically promised he would sign a bill as president to de-fund Planned Parenthood. He said he grew up “in a very strong Democratic family”, but that he feels the party has changed. The current RNC platform includes no exceptions.
Unlike Trump, Flynn has also said he “would love to see” Israel disarmed of its nuclear weapons. Trump admitted that one of the biggest moment of any presidential campaign, the unveiling of a running mate, isn’t going to make a difference for his campaign. Joe Lieberman as his vice president in 2008.
– Flynn is also not the only general under consideration. In an interview with ABC News on Sunday, he came across as halting and unsure of himself.
Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, who’s also mentioned as being on the short list, said she hadn’t been asked for specific documentation, nor talked with Trump staff about being the vice-presidential nominee. “He will decide it on who he thinks will be a good president”, Sessions said on “Fox News Sunday”.
“We have a sufficient political class, and the military doesn’t have to get involved in high national office”, he said. “The days of doing that, post-Civil War and post-World War II, are gone”. What he should not have done is he should not have offered his opinion outside of telling the attorney general.
After Wallace’s Southern base vetoed the candidate’s choice, retired Gen. Curtis LeMay joined Wallace’s ticket. In 1992, independent candidate Ross Perot picked retired Navy Adm. James Stockdale.
– Why does Pence want to be Trump’s #2?
Where exactly does Donald Trump fall regarding the matter of abortion? And he’s clearly not been consistently anxious about coalescing conservatives behind him.

In the interview above, Trump makes it clear that he is against abortion. “But that’s why you have a committee of 112 people”.
