Hunt vs. Lesnar: UFC 200’s Best Bet
The biggest draw of the night, a heavyweight bout between No. 8 heavyweight Mark Hunt (12-10) and WWE star and former UFC champion Brock Lesnar (6-3) was an exciting affair that saw Lesnar take away the decision victory.

The fight was originally portrayed as a one-off as Lesnar is under contract to WWE, where he’ll face Randy Orton at SummerSlam in Barclays Center next month.
The women’s bantamweight championship Miesha Tate vs. Amanda Nunes is now the headliner, while Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt remained in the co-main event.
After his win, however, Lesnar had a moment to talk with Joe Rogan (courtesy of UFC’s Youtube Channel), and showed more emotion and patriotism than most would probably expect from a man who probably fights bears as a side gig.
Velasquez floored Browne late in the first round and followed him to the mat, throwing a barrage of savage ground-and-pound until referee John McCarthy was forced to wave it off.
There was no need to suspend reality with Lesnar because we’ve already seen what he can do in legitimate competition.
“It was a power puncher versus a wrestler matchup, and I proved I can take a punch”, Lesnar said. Stock lost goes to Tate in this one, no shame in losing but she didn’t really get anything going in this fight in the way of offense or defense.
Lesnar seemed to tire a bit in the frame, finding much less success with his takedowns.
After the second takedown, Lesnar landed multiple left hands to Hunt’s head, as well as a pair of knees to the ribs. He didn’t relinquish top position for the duration. With a minute to go in the round, Hunt started looking for overhand rights but Lesnar did well to avert them and managed to duck before clinching him against the cage to end the round.
The WWE superstar dominated the final excahnges, pummeling the Samoan on his way to a decision win. All three judges awarded the bout to Lesnar, 29-27.
Despite the fact that Cormier was robbed the opportunity to finally fight against Jones, he still beat a fighter that is considered to be the one of the greatest of all time. “I’m so happy to be in here”.

Burleson said Lesnar immediately came out on the field, asked which Chiefs player had done it, found the player and threw him to the ground, suplex-style. I don’t think either man loses stock from this fight, that said it wasn’t the burner many of us had hoped for, what’s next for both men? “From sea to shining sea”.
